Расчет и проектирование пневматической и механической части тормозов вагонов

The textbook describes methods for determining the required braking force, based on the specified length of the braking distance, the permissible deceleration of the braking train and the conditions for preventing the braking wheel from braking, as well as calculation methods and design standards for the pneumatic part and brake lever transmission of freight and passenger cars. The issues of providing railcars with braking means are considered, and brake standards applicable on the railways of Russia and other CIS countries are given. Examples of determining the required braking force and evaluating the availability of brakes for gondola cars, covered cars, passenger and refrigerated cars are given. It is intended for students of higher education institutions of railway transport, and can also be useful for employees of research and design organizations involved in the calculation and design of brakes for railway rolling stock.
